Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) selects post-doctoral fellow (PNPD CAPES) in the area of Neural Signal Processing and Analysis to work in Macaíba/RN. Registration until 18/09/2016.

Scholarship validity period: until March 2017, extendable every six months. The candidate must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas; Experience in topics related to brain-machine interface, neuromodulation, and neurorehabilitation is desirable. Guidance, monitoring or subjects taught will be different. The successful candidate will participate in ongoing projects at IIN-ELS, more specifically in the processing and analysis of electrophysiological signals (spike, LFP or EEG) collected in various experimental contexts.

Experience in analyzing time series and linear and non-linear dynamic systems is essential. Proficiency in programming is mandatory. Experience in machine learning, computational modeling, and biomedical signal processing is desirable. The institute is located in Macaíba (RN), 14 km from Natal.

The selection process consists of the following steps: 1) selection of candidates by analyzing CVs, letters of intent and letters of reference; 2) only candidates selected in stage 1 will be invited for an interview; 3) interview; 4) disclosure of the selected candidate for immediate start. Deadline for sending CVs and letters: 09/18/2016. Interviews on 19 and 20/09/16. Applications must be sent by 18/09/2016.
