CECs successfully start a training course for managers

On August 10th, the first management training meeting took place in Natal (RN), a project proposed and coordinated by Science Education Centers (CECs) and developed in partnership with Municipal Department of Education (SME) and the managers of CEC Natal partner schools. Thirteen managers and four SME representatives were present at the first meeting, demonstrating strong support among representatives from sixteen schools that were expected.

At the end of the meeting there was an evaluation and the participants praised the initiative and expressed their joy in having been part of the beginning of the project designed by the CECs. The expectation is that there will be continuity, with exchanges of experiences and knowledge, in addition to continuous growth for everyone involved.

Outside of the meeting environment, each manager keeps records about their participation in the course and there is also a daily remote support service to monitor the individual needs of each participant.

Continuing Education Program for Educators

The training course for managers of public schools that partner with the Scientific Education Centers (CECs) is one of the projects of the Institutional Program for Continuing Education for Educators (PISD 2). The objective of the course is to develop systematic meetings of training actions in education for public school managers in Natal (RN), Macaíba/RN and Serrinha/BA, responsible for managing the partner schools of the Scientific Education Project, leading them to build and develop a democratic management work project in their schools, integrated with the training of their teachers and student attendance at CECs.

Manager training meetings will be fortnightly and initially it is a pilot plan that only takes place in the municipality of Natal. The idea is that the project will soon expand to other municipalities where the CECs operate: Macaíba (RN) and Serrinha (BA).
