The Symposium (Presentation)

The Neuroengineering Symposium was launched in the year 2015 by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) with the aim of complementing the training of future researchers and students, while stimulating the generation of new knowledge through independent research, and the articulation of research and teaching as an agent of social transformation integrated into the community.

The event's target audience includes students and professionals in the areas of health, biological, engineering and technological sciences.

Held for six years by ISD – with editions in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 – the Symposium has received, in this period, more than 600 participants from several Brazilian states and debates on topics related to innovation, scientific and technological development, innovation in health and neuroscience.

The program includes round tables and guest lectures, as well as the presentation of posters of papers submitted to the event by students and researchers. More than 140 posters have already been presented at the Symposium. Among the topics of the papers by students and researchers at the event are Brain-Machine Interface, Neuromodulation, Biomedical Signal and Image Processing, Biomechanics and Rehabilitation.

In the 'Symposium Proceedings' tab you will find a collection of scientific papers presented in previous editions of the Neuroengineering Symposium, as well as the rules for submitting papers to the event.
