The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) launches this Monday (27) the notice for the selection process for the Master's in Neuroengineering, for entry in the second half of 2024. People with a degree in the areas of Health, Engineering or Biology can apply.
Registration is free and must be completed by June 14th, using an electronic form available on ISD website. To access the notice, follow the Teaching > Postgraduate courses in Neuroengineering.
16 vacancies will be offered, 13 of which are open to competition, two for graduates of the Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for People with Disabilities at ISD (RESPCD/ISD) and one for professors and employees at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
The selection takes place in two stages. The first, of an eliminatory nature, is the documentary analysis of the letter of intent, letters of recommendation, Lattes CV and assessment of the candidate's suitability for the chosen project, each item with a scoring weight, set out in the notice. The second, of an eliminatory and classificatory nature, consists of an interview with those selected in the first stage.
Interested parties must indicate, when registering, which of the projects they wish to participate in. There are 13 projects in total, in areas such as Electrophysiology, Pharmacology, Computer Systems, Neuroanatomy, Neuromodulation and others, detailed in the notice.

Created in 2013, the Master's program in Neuroengineering at ISD is the first and only one in the country recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in this area of knowledge. It aims to train highly qualified professionals, able to act with a global and interdisciplinary look in the development of scientific research and products in the field of Neuroengineering.
The program is free, lasts 24 months and has Biomedical Engineering as its area of concentration. Classes take place at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), one of the ISD units, located in Macaíba, about 25 kilometers from Natal. All master's students are entitled to free transportation from Natal to Macaíba offered by ISD.
