The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is holding a series of lectures this Saturday (27) on the challenges and advances in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The event will take place from 8 am, in the auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmacy, located at the Onofre Lopes University Hospital, in Natal.
The program includes discussions on the diagnosis of ASD, the advancement of research in the area and the exchange of experiences. The course is aimed at professionals who work with Autism Spectrum Disorder, researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Registration must be done through online form, at a cost of R$ 10. Spaces are limited depending on the capacity of the auditorium, which holds up to 200 people.
In addition to ISD, the UFRN Academic League of Pediatrics (LAPED) also participates in organizing the event. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) refers to a series of conditions characterized by some degree of impairment in social behavior, communication and language, and by a narrow range of interests and activities that are unique to the individual and carried out repetitively”.
