ISD is an institutional member of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sbeb.org.br\/site\/parceiros\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Brazilian Society of Biomedical Engineering (SBEB)<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The disciplines offered by the graduate program of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> focus on two main thematic lines: <\/span><b>brain-machine interface<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is <\/span><b>neuromodulation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The master&#039;s course receives students from all regions of Brazil. The entry of new master&#039;s students takes place <strong>twice a year<\/strong>, through public calls posted on the internet.<\/span><\/p><p>A <strong>neuroengineering<\/strong> It is an interdisciplinary research area that integrates neuroscience and engineering methods to study the functioning of the nervous system and develop solutions for limitations and dysfunctions associated with the nervous system. This emerging area encompasses aspects of experimental, computational, theoretical, clinical and applied research at molecular, cellular and systemic levels. The knowledge generated in these studies enables the development of technologies and applications ranging from <strong>neuroprostheses to the improvement of neuromodulation techniques<\/strong> with therapeutic potential. The works have behavioral, electrophysiological, histological and immunohistochemical approaches, combined with quantitative analysis
