The team of Science Education Centers (CECs)<\/strong> deeply regrets the death, on September 11, 2017, of the artist Antonio Alves de Souza<\/strong>, known as Antonio Hare<\/strong>. He was an assistant at the Science and Art workshop at the CEC of Maca\u00edba-RN in 2008 and over time he collaborated numerous times with the CECs, participating in conversations with students about his work and also about artistic practice. His last interaction with CEC Maca\u00edba was last July, during an activity at the Science and History Workshop, which promoted dialogue between students and artists from Rio Grande do Norte from the most varied areas (Check out the article HERE<\/strong><\/a>).\u00a0<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

About Antonio Hare<\/strong><\/h3>
\u00a0<\/div>
The artist was born in Natal-RN and was 51 years old. He had a degree in aquaculture from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and also had training in fine arts and as an art educator, with a qualification in music. In recent times, Hare has produced his works showing the diversity of possibilities for reusing trash objects, composing works within a concept he calls \u201cSUSTAIN<\/strong>\u201d. By transforming trash into art, Ant\u00f4nio Hare provoked reflections on exaggerated consumption and the throwaway culture. The Santos Dumont Institute pays tribute to the artist with images of some of his moments at the Institution and expresses solidarity with his family and friends, especially his wife Rachel Dantas<\/strong>, pedagogical advisor to the CECs.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
