Researchers, students of master's degree in neuroengineering<\/strong><\/a>, Scientific Initiation students and other professionals linked to Santos Dumont Institute (ISD)<\/strong><\/a> participated in the activities of the XV Congress of the Latin American Society of Neuropsychology (SLAN)<\/strong> and the VIII Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Institute of Neuropsychology and Behavior (IBNEC)<\/strong>, which took place in Natal-RN, from September 25th to 28th.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mariana Araujo<\/strong>, researcher at Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS)<\/strong>, participated in a series of lectures, the main theme of which was: \u201cAnxiety and fear: Neural mechanisms of threat response systems in a translational perspective<\/em><\/strong>\u201c. On that occasion, several possible mechanisms involved in fear and anxiety responses were discussed, which are very important for understanding various pathologies related to these disorders: \u201cDiscussions and understanding of these mechanisms can help in the development of new therapeutic strategies for anxiety and fear disorders\u201d, explained Mariana.<\/p>

Some event participants took advantage of their stay in Natal-RN to visit and learn about the work developed in Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS)<\/strong> and at IIN-ELS, units of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) located in Maca\u00edba-RN.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
