From November 15 to 18, two educators from the Scientific Education Centers (CECs) participated in the IV National Education Congress (CONEDU)<\/strong>, which took place in Jo\u00e3o Pessoa-PB, and whose theme was: Brazilian Education \u2013 current challenges<\/strong>. The event provided moments of dialogue and reflection between educators from different regions of the country.<\/p>

On the first day of the Congress, the educators participated in mini-courses, lectures and forums. In the following days, they presented their work in oral presentation groups and also participated in round tables and plenary sessions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cI met some educators from other states who are truly concerned about the quality of education, especially in public schools.\u201d<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Luiza Marina<\/strong>, educator at CEC Maca\u00edba-RN, presented an article with the title Continuing teacher training as a tool for reflective education<\/strong>, which highlights one of the focuses of the training offered at the CECs throughout the year, when there is dialogue and construction of knowledge together: \u201cIt was the moment of the congress that impacted me the most, as I had the opportunity to talk about my reality and all the importance of the training that takes place at the CECs for my being an educator\u201d, she explained.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the educator's opinion Celsulla Dantas<\/strong>, from CEC Natal-RN, the conferences, forums and discussion groups were inspiring. She presented the article\u00a0The theme of water for teaching chemistry: a different proposal<\/strong>\u00a0in the Working Group (WG) on Science Teaching: \u201cThe WG I was part of made me reflect on science and the subject, contextualization of teaching, critical and problematizing education, interdisciplinarity and technologies. Being able to experience and share learning with educators from all over Brazil strengthens the practice and brings to our work the certainty that we are on the right path and that we are part of the fight for democratic, critical education that is accessible to all\u201d, she commented.\u00a0<\/p>

With ISD's participation in a nationally recognized event, it is possible to build new partnerships and references for work in education at different levels of teaching and learning, providing the basis, exchanging experiences, building and refining the different paths towards democratic education.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
