On January 18th, training in parasports began, promoted by Santos Dumont Institute (ISD)<\/strong> in partnership with Maca\u00edba Sports and Leisure Department<\/strong> and the National Association of Sports for the Disabled (ANDE)<\/strong>.\u00a0
Throughout the day, participants were able to come into contact with many issues related to sport and the daily lives of people with disabilities, based on the central theme \u201cChallenges and perspectives of adapted sports training<\/strong>o: far beyond health<\/strong>\u201d. Professionals working in parasports and para-athletes spoke to the public and exchanged experiences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This training focuses on parasports practices and modalities aimed at children and adolescents with congenital and\/or acquired spinal cord injuries, treated at Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS)<\/strong> \u2013 Details in the article HERE<\/strong><\/a>. With this, it is expected to qualify professionals interested in working in parasports so that, in the short term, sports practices become allies in the rehabilitation process of these patients.<\/span><\/p>

The course will have four more meetings, on the following dates: 15\/02\/19<\/strong>, 23\/03\/19<\/strong>, 13\/04\/19<\/strong> It is 25\/05\/19<\/strong>, in Maca\u00edba (RN). At the end of the training, participants with at least 75% of attendance will receive a certificate.
