This Tuesday, June 4th, the Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS)<\/strong><\/a> received the team of instructors from the Permanent Education Center (NEP of SAMU 192 RN<\/strong><\/a>), which offered Basic Life Support training, a set of technical measures and procedures aimed at providing life support to victims. The training was aimed at professionals from CEPS and Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS)<\/strong><\/a>, as well as residents, master's students and students on internship at the Anita Garibaldi Center.<\/p>

The internship supervisor and CEPS nurse Eriana Yadja<\/strong> participated in the training and commented that the main importance of this type of initiative is the understanding of first aid issues so that participants know how to act correctly in a cardiorespiratory or respiratory arrest process.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Throughout the morning, SAMU professionals addressed the topic and initially presented important theoretical concepts regarding first aid. Afterwards, the audience was divided into groups for practice, alternating in 30-minute rotations at stations with different themes: basic life support, airway obstruction and adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation.<\/p>

Rogeria Abrantes<\/strong>, a SAMU nurse and speaker, highlights that Basic Life Support Training has been carried out since the implementation of SAMU in Rio Grande do Norte, in 2006, and is important because it is a central element in saving lives. The first procedures, well executed, are essential for the patient's chance of survival without sequelae.<\/p>

The CEPS manager lilian lisbon<\/strong> highlights that this activity is very important for professionals in the areas of research, teaching or extension, as it provides knowledge and reflection on the skills necessary for safer care. \u201cIn this context, I would like to thank the team of instructors at NEP SAMU 192, who promptly responded to our request and addressed the topic in a light, active and enjoyable way\u201d, he concludes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
