The SIG (Special Interest Group) Re(h)abilitar is a permanent health education project, promoted by Telemedicine University Network (RUTE)<\/a>, coordinated by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN)<\/a>, through the e-Health Unit of the Janu\u00e1rio Cicco Maternity School (MEJC). The project carries out collaborative sessions in which researchers and health professionals from the network's institutions meet virtually to discuss teaching, research and assistance, management and remote evaluation topics.<\/p>

In the first half of 2019 there were six meetings with the theme of the year: Parkinson's Disease. lilian lisbon<\/strong>, Manager of the Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS), highlights that the Re(h)abilitar SIG is intended for expanded care motivated by experiences at the Parkinson's Clinic offered by CEPS Anita Garibaldi through the Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER III). \u201cSIG Re(h)abilitar is an important channel for the intersection of teaching and research with various institutions. The objective of this tool is to integrate professionals, researchers and users who are interested in the Care Network for People with Disabilities, strengthening team actions that enable transformations in technical and social practices focused on problem solving\u201d, explains L\u00edlian. Re(h)abilitar is linked to CER III and the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Health Care for People with Disabilities (RMCSPD).<\/p>

The physiotherapist and Coordinator of the RMCSPD, Lorenna Santiago<\/strong>, highlights the importance of the integrated nature of the project. \u201cIn this first semester we had the participation and engagement of institutions from all regions of Brazil, and these meetings have promoted collaboration between various researchers, health professionals and students who work in the area of rehabilitation. This experience has been very beneficial for all participants, as it has facilitated the sharing of clinical and scientific experiences, which strengthens person-centered action.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Historic<\/strong><\/p>

Starting on February 23, 2018, the project created by ISD in partnership with UFRN had its inaugural class, accompanied by professionals from Rio Grande do Norte, Para\u00edba, Bahia and Amazonas.
The areas covered by the project are auditory, motor, intellectual and cognitive habilitation and rehabilitation with an emphasis on Microcephaly clinics, acquired or congenital Spinal Cord Injury, Parkinson's, Epilepsies and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).<\/p>
