O Santos Dumont Institute<\/a> (ISD) and the League Against Cancer<\/a> officially signed this year a scientific and technological cooperation agreement that should result in joint clinical studies on pain \u2013 a symptom that can be associated with a primary tumor of the nervous system, metastases, or anticancer therapy.<\/p>

\u201cCancers of the nervous system often have severe consequences that end up becoming a threat to life,\u201d notes the League, which is entering into the partnership through its Institute of Education, Research and Innovation.<\/p>

The Santos Dumont Institute, in turn, is represented by the professor, research coordinator and manager of the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), Edgard Morya.<\/p>

The cooperation agreement between the institutions aims at scientific and technological exchange for the execution of research and development activities, training of human resources, absorption and transfer of technology, involving projects and other activities in their units.<\/p>

\u201cThis partnership will contribute with clinical observations, technological and pharmaceutical developments in the field of Neuro-oncology, focusing on pain and, thus, directing treatment or improving the quality of life of patients with cancer in the nervous system\u201d, notes the League, in a note about the partnership.<\/p>

The Santos Dumont Institute is a Social Organization linked to the Ministry of Education and encompasses the Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Health Research and the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), in Maca\u00edba (RN).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
