The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) released this Tuesday (04) the list of candidates approved in the 2021 selection process<\/a> of the Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for People with Disabilities. The new residents will make up the 4th class of the Postgraduate Program considered a pioneer in Brazil.<\/span><\/p>

More than 140 candidates participated in the 2021 selection process. Eight of these were approved. The vacancies will be filled by professionals trained in Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Social Work courses. The new class will have two residents from each area.<\/span><\/p>

Registration\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

Enrollment of approved candidates will take place on February 25th and 26th. The documentation to be submitted, as provided in enrollment notice<\/a>, must be sent virtually via form. The registration process, initially scheduled to take place in person, has undergone changes due to the worsening of the pandemic in Rio Grande do Norte.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

With the virtual submission of documentation, entrants must present the original copies of the documents in person to the Secretariat for verification, on the day the Residency activities begin, a date to be defined by the Residency Program coordination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

If there are vacancies that are not filled due to withdrawal, candidates classified on the waiting list will be called within 30 calendar days after the start of the Program.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for People with Disabilities has been offered by ISD since 2018. The program's main field of activity is the Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Research in Health and the Specialized Center for Physical, Auditory and Intellectual Rehabilitation (CER III), at ISD. Enrolled candidates may also be allocated to Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience<\/a> (IIN-ELS), in accordance with the activities defined by the Residency coordination, in order to meet the teaching-research integration needs of the Santos Dumont Institute.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

ISD is a reference in maternal and child health, people with disabilities, neurosciences and neuroengineering. Service to the population is offered through the Unified Health System (SUS) and, in the CER, includes people with refractory epilepsy; Parkinson's; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); spinal cord injury; microcephaly; hearing deficiency; prematurity and neurogenic bladder. This is the first CER in the Northeast of Brazil with operations integrated into a research and innovation system through joint work with the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It is a Social Organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC) and includes the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences and the Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center, both in Maca\u00edba.
