The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), represented by its general and administrative directors, Reginaldo Freitas Jr. and Jovan Gadioli dos Santos, respectively, in addition to the coordinator of the Academic Secretariat, Marcelo Carvalho, participated this Friday morning (24\/09) in a virtual hearing convened by the Ministry of Economy, through the Secretariat of Management. On the occasion, the National Publication Program (PNP) Project was presented, which aims to strengthen and promote the partnership model with Social Organizations (OS). The Santos Dumont Institute was recognized as one of them by the federal government in February 2014.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

The National Publication Program is being developed by the Management Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy (SEGES) in partnership with the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), with the Eurosocial Program financed by the European Union, and with the support of the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA).<\/p>\r\n \r\n

The objective of the program is to understand essential aspects of the partnership model with qualified Social Organizations, established by Law No. 9,637, of May 15, 1998, through assessments carried out in conjunction with its main stakeholders, covering topics such as: sources of resources, management format and contracting by results. From this, strengthen and promote the partnership model with Social Organizations.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

According to Eduardo Monteiro Pastore, from the Ministry of Economy's Management Secretariat, the project will be based on three axes: Transparency, Financial Management and Promotion of the Model. The BNDES will be responsible for conducting a study on the financial management capacity of Social Organizations and federal funding sources. The lines to be analyzed include: governance, personnel management, financial management, institutional management and partnership results.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

For ISD\u2019s general director, Reginaldo Freitas Jr., the discussion surrounding the development of the work of social organizations in Brazil is of utmost importance for sectors that lack assistance from public entities. \u201cISD believes in strengthening the social organization model to accelerate progress in strategic areas of our country, such as education, health, scientific research, technological innovation and culture. Efforts to improve this model, consolidating its virtues, addressing its weaknesses and overcoming its challenges, represent necessary actions for Brazil to advance in social and human development,\u201d he states.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

The work and contribution made by the ISD during the hearing was recognized by Eduardo Monteiro Pastore, representative of SEGES. \u201cIt is great to have the Santos Dumont Institute, which is a Social Organization of excellence. Santos Dumont Institute (ISD)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

It is a Social Organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC) and includes the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences and the Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center, both in Maca\u00edba.
