The negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic can be felt, in addition to higher inflation, in the national job market. Data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), relating to the second quarter of this year, indicate that there are 14.4 million unemployed people. Less than half of the working-age population is employed in the country, according to the Institute. A digital tool, however, can help young people and adults who are looking for a job in the market to find one or more vacancies: LinkedIn. To demystify and teach usage techniques, the research professor at the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), Fabr\u00edcio Brasil, will present the lecture 'Linkedin \u2013 the social network that you should really care about'.<\/p>

At the event, scheduled for this Wednesday (09\/29), at 2 pm via Google Meet, Professor Fabr\u00edcio Brasil will teach ways to use LinkedIn to boost your career. \u201cLooking for a job and standing out from the competition is a difficult task. Around 40 million people use LinkedIn to look for jobs every week and 95% of recruiters search the platform for more information about candidates. Being referred by an employee of a company increases your chance of being hired by 9 times, showing the importance of building and maintaining networking. Approximately 40% of LinkedIn users change jobs every four years, which can increase their salary by up to 30%. However, to be successful, you need to overcome the robots and really dedicate yourself to this social network. In the lecture, I will talk about this and a little more\u201d, says Fabr\u00edcio Brasil.<\/p>

In this uncertain future, there is a tendency for more competition in the job market and it is important to define strategies to stand out to those who are hiring. In parallel with the neuroengineering studies that he has been conducting since 2013 at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) at the Santos Dumont Institute, Fabr\u00edcio Brasil has been dedicated for some years to trying to uncover the paths to effectively getting an interview and the job you are looking for, using LinkedIn as an ally.<\/p>

The largest social network for professionals in the world has caught the researcher's attention since he was studying for his doctorate in Germany and was encouraged by professors at the educational institution to participate in the network assertively. Studies on how the platform works, which began at the time to meet his own demand, are now disseminated in lectures that he gives to higher education students at public and private universities in Brazil. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Mato Grosso \u2013 UFMT (2003). a Master\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina \u2013 UFSC (2007). a PhD in Neuroscience from the International Max Planck Research School for Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience (IMPRS-CSN), Eberhard Karls Universit\u00e4t T\u00fcbingen (EKT). He has experience in the area of Biomedical Engineering, Brain Machine\/Computer Interface (BMI\/BCI), Equipment Design, Rehabilitation of patients who have suffered a stroke or spinal cord injury, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Plasticity and Brain Stimulation through Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
