The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) made public this Monday (6\/12) the notice for the selection process of the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Health Care for Persons with Disabilities (RESPCD). Registration, which will be for admission in the year 2022, can be made until December 17th. Professionals trained in the areas of Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology and Social Work are eligible to participate in the selection.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

The ISD Multiprofessional Residency Program in Health Care for Persons with Disabilities was the first in Brazil qualified by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in this line of specialist training. The activities are developed mainly at the Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (Anita), and also at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences, ISD units in Maca\u00edba (RN). Daily, the Institute offers free transportation to Natal residents to the aforementioned units. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

The selection of candidates will take place in three stages. The first, of an eliminatory nature, consists of an objective theoretical test. The second, of a classificatory nature, consists of a practical test and, finally, a score is assigned to the candidate's Lattes Curriculum. In all, 8 vacancies will be offered, all of them with a work grant in the gross amount of R$ 3,330.43.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2016, ISD has been recognized by the Ministry of Health as a Specialized Center for Rehabilitation III, in the areas of hearing, physical and intellectual impairment. In 2021, the Ministry qualified it as a Specialized Center for Rehabilitation IV, in order to also meet demands related to visual impairment. The residents' work will be centered on the Epilepsy clinic (children and adults); Parkinson's; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Spinal Cord Injury (children and adults); Microcephaly; Hearing Impairment (children and adults); Prematurity and Neurogenic Bladder. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

The ISD Residency Program brings together the areas of teaching, research and extension, with a focus on strengthening the Care Network for People with Disabilities in the context of the Unified Health System (SUS). In addition to access to the various ISD specialized clinics, the resident will have the opportunity to get in touch with the activities and research projects developed in the postgraduate program in Neuroengineering at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences (IIN-ELS ). <\/span><\/p>\n
