Instituto Santos Dumont (ISD) had its Certification of Beneficent Social Assistance Entity (CEBAS) renewed by the Ministry of Health. The renovation was <\/span>published in the Official Gazette of the Union<\/span><\/a>, on July 17, 2023, by the Secretary of Specialized Health Care, Helv\u00e9cio Miranda Magalh\u00e3es J\u00fanior.<\/span><\/p>

The Certificate of Beneficent Social Assistance Entity in the Health Area (CEBAS) is granted by the Ministry of Health to non-profit legal entities governed by private law, recognized as a Beneficent Entity of Social Assistance for the provision of services in the Health Area.<\/span> In the case of ISD, health care services provided via the Unified Health System (SUS) to the Potiguar population are considered. <\/span><\/p>

The Institute's Administrative Director, Jovan Gadioli, explains that CEBAS is an instrument for recognizing the public utility services provided by the ISD, and guaranteeing access to important social benefits for the institution. \u201cCEBAS, in addition to recognizing the ISD as a social assistance charity that provides services to the SUS, allows the Institution to enjoy exemptions and social contributions, such as the employer's share of the social security contribution on the payroll, as well as the celebration of agreements with the Government\u201d, says Gadioli. <\/span><\/p>

ISD received its first certification as a charity in the health area in 2018. In 2021, the Institute requested the renewal of CEBAS, which was approved for the period from October 10, 2021 to October 9, 2024.<\/span><\/p>
