Registration is now open for the IX Neuroengineering Symposium, an event promoted annually by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) in Maca\u00edba (RN), which will take place between the 16th and 19th of October. Launched in 2015, the Symposium aims to complement the training and activities of researchers and students, encouraging the sharing and generation of new knowledge through independent research. The 2023 edition will take place in a hybrid format. Registration can be done via the platform <\/span>Congress.Me<\/b>. <\/span><\/a><\/p>


<\/p>\n

In its ninth edition, the Neuroengineering Symposium has a diverse program, which includes lectures on topics related to the brain-machine interface, neuromodulation, biomedical signal and image processing, biomechanics, rehabilitation, memory and others. The event will also feature poster presentations and scientific works, with awards for the best presentations at the end of the event. <\/span><\/p>


<\/span><\/p>\n

The program will feature lectures and tutorials from researchers from institutions such as the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN); the Federal University of S\u00e3o Carlos (UFSCAR); Federal University of Esp\u00edrito Santo (UFES); the University of Oxford; the Metropolitan University of Toronto; University of Uruguay and the Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador. <\/span><\/p>

The opening will be given by professor from the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique de Montreal, Tiago Henrique Falk, who will talk about the emerging applications of Brain-Machine Interface for mobile technologies.<\/span><\/p>


<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the lectures, participants will be able to sign up for tutorials, with limited places, in which they will undergo theoretical-practical classes on topics such as: use of brain-machine interface for motor rehabilitation; motion analysis; neuromodulation techniques for animal behavior studies; tissue processing and microscopy and game development for rehabilitation. <\/span><\/p>

The 2023 edition will also feature a round table, which will have the theme: \u201cNeuroengineering and people with disabilities\u201d, composed exclusively of people with disabilities who will talk about topics such as the use of assistive technologies, possible contributions of science to this population and integration between society and academia. <\/span><\/p>

Registration must be made via the Symposium page on the website <\/span>Congresse.me<\/b><\/a>. The prices for early registration, which last until 09\/09, will be: R$ 50 for students from Latin America; R$ 100 for professionals in Latin America; U$ 50 for students from Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania and U$ 100 for professionals from Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania. <\/span><\/p>

The Santos Dumont Institute will provide a bus for people who want to participate in the event in person. The request must be made on the event page, after registration, within the participants tab. <\/span><\/p>
