The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) released this Monday (8) the results of the first call for selection process 2024.2 of the Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering (PPGN). Successful candidates have until next Friday (12) to confirm their interest in the vacancy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The final result of the selection process will be announced on Monday (15). The list may contain changes in relation to the first call if a successful candidate does not confirm interest in the vacancy within the established deadline, as provided for in the notice. In this case, candidates classified as substitutes may be called up.<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection process received 58 applications, of which 15 projects were approved and 11 were classified as substitutes. Registered candidates went through two selection phases, which included document and project analysis and interviews with supervisor professors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Master<\/b><\/p>\n

The curricular structure of the master's degree in Neuroengineering is made up of mandatory and optional subjects, qualification exam, development of the research project, preparation and defense of a dissertation. The structure was designed to overcome the barriers that exist between exact and biological degrees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The curriculum consists of four mandatory subjects \u2013 two exact and two biological \u2013 totaling 16 credits. Furthermore, the student, with the advisor's consent, must select and take optional courses or complementary academic activities, totaling at least eight more credits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to completing the course credits, the student must defend their dissertation, which will account for another 64 credits. The minimum duration of the master's degree is 12 months and a maximum of 24 months.<\/span><\/p>\n
