Promoted by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), the Symposium will take place between the 12th and 14th of November, at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences (IIN-ELS), an ISD unit in Maca\u00edba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The complete rules for submitting papers can be accessed on the ISD website, in the \u201cCommunication and Events\u201d tab &gt; \u201cNeuroengineering Symposium\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Symposium provides an opportunity for researchers, students and professionals to share knowledge, innovations and recent developments, non-clinical and clinical applications, from animals to humans, in all aspects of neuroengineering, neurosciences and rehabilitation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In its 10th edition, the event will focus on how neuroengineering can help the health of people with disabilities, both in the context of rehabilitation and increasing quality of life. This will take place in the thematic areas of Biomechanics, Neuromodulation, Serious Games, Brain-Machine Interfaces, Human-Machine Interfaces, Robotics in Rehabilitation, Signal Processing, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Neurophysiology, Electrophysiology and Neuroanatomy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Submissions<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All submissions will be evaluated by the Evaluation Committee to determine whether they meet the objectives and scope of the Symposium. Those deemed appropriate will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or not.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scientific committee will accept abstracts (2 pages) and regular full articles (4 pages) with theoretical and practical contributions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About the Symposium<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Neuroengineering Symposium was created in 2015 by the Santos Dumont Institute with the aim of complementing the training of future researchers and students. The event encourages the generation of new knowledge through independent research, as well as the articulation of research and teaching as agents of social transformation integrated into the community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registration to participate in the 10th Neuroengineering Symposium will open soon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About ISD<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is a Social Organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC) and includes the Edmond and Lily Safra International Neuroscience Institute and the Anita Garibaldi Center for Health Education and Research, both in Maca\u00edba.
