The deadline to apply for 10 sandwich master's degree scholarships in the Graduate Program in Neuroengineering at the Santos Dumont Institute (PPGN\/ISD) through the Move La Am\u00e9rica program, organized by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), ends this Thursday (15). The initiative is exclusive to foreign students from Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/span><\/p>\n

Move La Am\u00e9rica aims to foster academic mobility and strengthen integration between higher education and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. Selected students will receive scholarships and will have their airfare covered by Capes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the case of ISD, vacancies are aimed at foreign students interested in developing interdisciplinary research in the field of neuroengineering and neuroscience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Information about the program is available on the ISD website (<\/span>www.isd.org.br<\/span><\/a>), in the Education > Move La Am\u00e9rica tab. Candidates must meet the requirements established by the ISD and the Capes program.<\/span><\/p>\n

The selected candidates will be able to count on the excellent infrastructure and highly qualified multidisciplinary faculty of the ISD. The Institute, located in Maca\u00edba, Rio Grande do Norte, is recognized for contributing significantly to the advancement of interdisciplinary scientific knowledge and for the development of new technologies for rehabilitation and assistive technologies for people with disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the Move La Am\u00e9rica Program<\/b><\/p>\n

The Move La Am\u00e9rica Program aims to complement the internationalization efforts of Brazilian Higher Education Institutions by attracting students linked to foreign teaching and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, allowing for the strengthening of Postgraduate Programs (PPG) and the creation of an international institutional environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Program will grant scholarships to Master's or Doctorate students linked to foreign teaching and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, in the master's and sandwich doctorate modalities in Brazil, with a view to carrying out internships, research, extension activities and, eventually, taking courses in Postgraduate Programs (PPG) from Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Federal Institutes or Research Institutes, always in areas related to their field of activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is a Social Organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC) and includes the Edmond and Lily Safra International Neuroscience Institute and the Anita Garibaldi Center for Health Education and Research, both in Maca\u00edba.
