Registration is now open for the Neuroengineering Symposium, held annually by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) in the city of Maca\u00edba, in Rio Grande do Norte. The event, which is in its tenth edition this year, will take place between November 12 and 14, bringing together professionals, students and researchers from the areas of health, engineering, biology and related fields to discuss topics such as brain-machine interface, neuromodulation, signal processing, biomechanics and rehabilitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In its decade of existence, the ISD Symposium seeks to complement the training and performance of researchers and students and to stimulate the exchange of knowledge through the integration of professionals from different areas. To this end, it will feature presentations of scientific papers, with awards for the best productions, as well as tutorials on topics such as tissue processing, microscopy, memory and learning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2024 edition will be held in person and registrations can be made through the Congresse.me platform. The prices are R$$ 50 for students and R$$ 100 for professionals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The speakers include leading researchers in their fields, from Brazil and abroad. One of them is Carlos D\u00edaz Novo, a professor at the Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica in Uruguay, who will discuss the relationship between sports and neuroscience with the lecture \u201cMethodological Proposal to Assess the Impact of Headers in Football on the Brain\u201d, bringing to the fore the discussion about human movement and the adaptations and responses of the brain and body to exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another speaker at the congress is Suellen Marinho dos Santos Andrade, a professor at the Federal University of Para\u00edba (UFPB), where she coordinates the Laboratory of Studies in Aging and Neuroscience. She brings to the Symposium the theme \u201cBrain and lung axis: Potentials and Perspectives of Non-Invasive Neurostimulation\u201d, hoping to open spaces for debate about <\/span>applied research in neuroscience for the study of neurological diseases.<\/span><\/p>\n
