The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), a social organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC) operating in Maca\u00edba, Rio Grande do Norte, continues to accept applications for the Master's degree in Neuroengineering. Applications are open to people who have a degree in the exact, health or biological sciences. The course is free and in-person, with an expected duration of 48 months, and enrollment begins in March 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 17 vacancies will be offered, with one vacancy reserved for UFRN professors and employees, two reserved for graduates of the ISD Multiprofessional Residency program, 20% intended for candidates who self-declare as black, brown, indigenous and quilombola and 20% for people with disabilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Interested candidates must select two research project options when registering. In addition, a letter of intent, letters of recommendation from two professors, a preliminary project (which will not necessarily be used as a master's thesis), among other documents must be attached. More information about the registration process is available in the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vacancies will be distributed among specific projects, with different advisors among the program's research professors. The available topics and lines of research address fields of knowledge such as electrophysiology, neuroscience of learning and behavior, transcranial electrical stimulation, memory and data processing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The notice is available on the website <\/span>www.isd.org.br<\/span><\/a>, in the tabs 'Education' -> 'Postgraduate studies in Neuroengineering'. The document describes the research projects and their respective available supervising professors, as well as details about the requirements, deadlines and other information. Applications must be made following the same path.<\/span><\/p>\n

Master's in Neuroengineering<\/b><\/p>\n

The Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering (PPGN) is a multidisciplinary and pioneering program, created in 2013 and recommended by CAPES in the area of concentration of Biomedical Engineering. The main objectives of the PPGN are to generate scientific knowledge, promote science and train highly qualified professionals to work in the area of Neuroengineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Activities are concentrated at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience, an ISD unit in Maca\u00edba. To get there, the Institute offers free daily transportation between its units.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
