The city of Maca\u00edba is preparing to host, for the first time, Startup Day, a national event promoted by SEBRAE to foster the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem throughout Brazil. The first edition in the city will be held next Saturday (22), starting at 8 am, at the PAX Club in Maca\u00edba, and promises to shake up the startup scene in the region with lectures, mentoring, pitch rounds and opportunities to connect with investors and industry experts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) will be present at the event with representatives from its areas of education, research and innovation, presenting initiatives that integrate technology and health, in addition to discussing with other entrepreneurs the potential for partnerships to develop innovative projects. The participation reinforces ISD's commitment to contributing to the growth of the local innovation ecosystem, stimulating the emergence of solutions that positively impact society.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cISD encourages and stimulates innovation. Participating in Startup Day in Maca\u00edba is an opportunity to share our experience in developing new neuroengineering technologies and, at the same time, learn about ideas that can transform people\u2019s lives,\u201d highlights Edgard Morya, manager of the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS).<\/span><\/p>\n

O <\/span>Startup Day<\/span><\/i> It is aimed at those who have a business idea, want to get a project off the ground, or already have a startup and are looking to expand their opportunities. During the event, participants will be able to learn from market experts, establish strategic partnerships, connect with mentors and investors, and participate in pitch rounds \u2014 quick project presentations that receive feedback and can attract potential supporters.<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative is organized by the Local Innovation Ecosystem (ELI Maca\u00edba), an institution of which the ISD is a part, and by SEBRAE Startups and its main objective is to boost entrepreneurial culture in the region, bringing Maca\u00edba closer to other cities that are already part of the innovation circuit in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Registration for the event is free and can be done online. You can also sign up to participate in the pitch rounds and present your idea to a specialized audience.<\/span><\/p>\n
