Members of the board of directors of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) participated, this Monday (23), in a series of institutional agendas in Bras\u00edlia\/DF with the objective of presenting results, aligning strategies and strengthening partnerships with the Federal Government. The general director of the ISD, Reginaldo Freitas J\u00fanior, and the administrative director, Jovan Gadioli dos Santos, represented the institution in commitments at the Ministries of Education and Sports.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit to the Ministry of Education (MEC), the body with which the ISD maintains a Management Contract, the institution's representatives presented the results of the 2024 fiscal year, which received the highest score in the analysis by the Management Contract Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (CAACG\/MEC).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting, held at the Ministry's headquarters, also discussed the main challenges and strategic objectives for the coming years, with emphasis on strengthening teaching, research and extension activities and expanding the areas of activity of the ISD. The meeting was attended by Deputy Executive Secretary Rodolfo de Carvalho Cabral, Program Director Jussara de Luna Batista, Project Manager Jaqueline Ribeiro Silva and Secretary of Intersectoral Articulation and Education Systems, Greg\u00f3rio Grisa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Still at the MEC, the delegation was received by representatives of the Secretariat for Regulation and Supervision of Higher Education (SERES), in a meeting focused on the institution's postgraduate programs. At this meeting, the ISD signaled the possibility of expanding the availability of professional specialization courses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Institute currently offers pioneering postgraduate programs in Neuroengineering and a Multiprofessional Residency in Care for People with Disabilities. In addition, a proposal to create a doctoral program in Neuroengineering and Health is currently being analyzed by CAPES. Once approved, the initiative will represent an important advance in the field of interprofessional, scientific and technological training focused on the interface between neuroscience and engineering applied to health, as well as for the continuity of research and retention of scientists in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Ministry of Sports, the meeting focused on building partnerships to develop intersectoral actions aimed at strengthening the ISD's parasports care line. The proposal's central strategy is the rehabilitation and inclusion of people with disabilities in society through sports. The following were present: the national secretary of parasports, F\u00e1bio Augusto Lima de Ara\u00fajo; the chief of staff, Breno Alves; the general coordinator of parasports programs and projects, V\u00e2nia Tie Koga Ferreira; and the director of parasports partnerships, Michelle Vinecky.<\/span><\/p>\n

When assessing the agenda completed in the federal capital, General Director Reginaldo Freitas J\u00fanior highlighted the importance of continually strengthening channels of dialogue with the Executive Branch. According to him, initiatives like this are essential to maintain alignment between the Institute's actions and the strategic demands of the State. \u201cWe returned home with good news, good ideas, and new and good challenges. This is the mission we have embraced,\u201d he stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the same vein, the administrative director of ISD, Jovan Gadioli dos Santos, noted that \u201cthe proposals presented during the meetings at the Ministries were very well received. We hope that, through joint coordination, we will have very positive results soon.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
