The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is accepting applications until Tuesday, October 7th, for two selection processes to hire professionals to work in the institution's Orthopedic Workshop. The notices are available on the ISD website (<\/span>www.isd.org.br<\/span><\/a>), in the 'Opportunities' > 'Careers' tab.<\/span><\/p>\n

The opportunities are for the positions of Orthopedic Workshop Coordinator and Orthotics and Prosthetics Technician I. As provided in the notice, the coordinator will be responsible for structuring and leading the Orthopedic Workshop, managing the team and resources, in addition to supervising the manufacturing processes of orthopedic devices and promoting quality and technological innovation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The technician will work directly in the production, customization and maintenance of orthoses, prostheses and means of locomotion, ensuring quality, comfort, safety and effectiveness in user care.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hiring regime for both positions is based on the Consolidated Labor Laws (CLT), with a stipulated 40-hour workweek. The gross salary is R$$ 7,304.05 for the coordinator position and R$$ 4,742.75 for the technician position, in addition to benefits such as health and dental insurance, meal and food vouchers, group life insurance, and free transportation between Natal and the ISD units in Maca\u00edba.<\/span><\/p>\n

ISD Orthopedic Workshop<\/b><\/p>\n

The ISD Orthopedic Workshop is currently undergoing restructuring and awaiting accreditation with the Ministry of Health. The facility, linked to the ISD Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER ISD) and built with funds from the Ministry of Health, will occupy an area of over 600 square meters on the second floor of the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) building, and will be integrated with the institution's neuroscience and neuroengineering laboratories.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once operational, the workshop will produce, adapt, and maintain devices such as orthoses, prostheses, and mobility aids (MOAs) that aim to improve the autonomy and quality of life of people with disabilities or locomotor injuries. Devices such as adapted footwear and insoles, braces, customized wheelchairs, and other equipment will be produced, using a variety of technologies to meet individual patient needs.<\/span><\/p>\n
