On November 17th and 18th, the III Meeting of Social Organizations of the Federal Executive Branch, held at the headquarters of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) in Maca\u00edba, Rio Grande do Norte, brought together representatives from the government sphere and institutions from all over the country with the aim of discussing and exchanging experiences on the model of Federal Social Organizations (OS) and their impact on strategic areas of the State, such as science and technology, culture, education and health.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Promoted by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and ISD, the meeting featured lectures by authorities and experts and provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and reflect on the advances and challenges of this type of partnership.\u00a0<\/p>

The 2025 edition, the first held at the headquarters of an OS (Social Organization), showed positive participation results, with 90 delegates over the two days of programming. According to Eduardo Pastore, general coordinator of the MGI management model and member of the organizing committee, the participation reflects the interest of the stakeholders involved in the debate and dissemination of information about the model.<\/p>

\u201cHolding this event here brings us great joy, because it is here that transformations truly happen, that the goals outlined in the management contracts reach those who need them: the citizens, the patients, the researchers, and the students. So, nothing is more heartwarming than discussing the model while in this environment where these transformations are generated,\u201d says Pastore.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Through the presentation of topics such as governance mechanisms, communication strategies, and financing models, the OS Meeting opened opportunities for dialogue between managers, supervisory bodies, innovation institutions, and representatives of public administration, strengthening the possibilities of projects designed for social return based on the actions of OSs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cThis event stems from a very clear purpose: to strengthen the management model of Federal Social Organizations through interaction and coordination among the different actors that comprise it. We are hosting leaders from other Social Organizations, representatives from supervising ministries, public managers, researchers, and many institutional partners. And this is a very powerful forum, and it is an honor for ISD that it is taking place in our home,\u201d says the Institute's Director-General, Reginaldo Freitas J\u00fanior.<\/span><\/p>

For Reginaldo, the meeting represented a strategic space for convergence, with the sharing of experiences, challenges, and solutions. "It is undeniable that Federal Social Organizations have proven essential for the effective, innovative, and transparent execution of public policies, and this needs to be valued and strengthened," he points out.<\/span><\/p>

The Santos Dumont Institute is a Social Organization supervised by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) and encompasses the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience and the Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Research in Health, both located in Maca\u00edba.
