The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) released this Friday (27) the result of the first call for the 2026.1 selection process for the Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering (PPGN). Approved candidates have until next Monday (2) to confirm their interest in the vacancy, the same date on which the final result is scheduled to be released.<\/span><\/p>\n

The final list may contain changes compared to the first call, should any candidate fail to confirm their interest in the position within the established deadline, as stipulated in the notice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection process received 43 applications, of which 16 were approved. Candidates went through two selection phases, which included document and project analysis and an interview with the supervising professors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Master's Degree in Neuroengineering<\/b><\/p>\n

The curriculum structure of the Master's program in Neuroengineering is composed of mandatory and elective multidisciplinary courses, research project development, dissertation preparation and defense. The structure was designed to overcome the existing barriers between undergraduate degrees in exact sciences, health sciences, and biological sciences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The curriculum consists of four mandatory subjects \u2013 two in the exact sciences and two in the biological sciences \u2013 totaling 16 credits. In addition, the student, with the advisor's approval, must select and take elective subjects or complementary academic activities, totaling at least eight more credits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to completing the course credits, the student must defend their dissertation, which will account for another 64 credits. The minimum duration of the master's degree is 12 months and a maximum of 24 months.<\/span><\/p>\n
