The pillars involved in implementing the Individual Therapeutic Project (ITP) in the context of rehabilitation for people with disabilities will guide the discussions of the Re(h)abilitar SIG in 2026. The web conference, coordinated by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) and UFRN, takes place monthly, with the first meeting scheduled for next Wednesday, April 1st.<\/span><\/p>\n

The project holds collaborative sessions in which researchers and healthcare professionals meet virtually to discuss topics related to teaching, research and care, management, and remote evaluation. The opening session will be led by the General Coordinator of Health for People with Disabilities at the Ministry of Health, Arthur Medeiros, and the coordinator of the Specialized Rehabilitation Center at ISD, Camila Sim\u00e3o. The professionals will discuss the topic "PTS as a tool for managing and coordinating care in the Care Network for People with Disabilities (RCPD)".<\/span><\/p>\n

For Camila Sim\u00e3o, focusing on PTS is necessary and important to strengthen RCPD in the management and coordination of care.<\/span> \u201cThis theme aims to foster knowledge building and the exchange of experiences in order to address a demand from the RCPD, which needs to discuss this topic to allow for its effective implementation. Throughout the nine meetings that will take place until the end of the year, we will discuss the necessary pillars for this implementation, as well as tips and exchanges of successful experiences,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Individual Therapeutic Project (ITP) is a set of interdisciplinary actions designed for an individual and their family, focused on needs centered on the health context. It seeks to overcome the traditional biomedical model, prioritizing the user's autonomy and the bond with the team. The process involves diagnosis, goals, division of responsibilities, and continuous reassessment.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the Re(h)habilitate GIS<\/b><\/p>\n

The SIG Re(h)abilitar is a Special Interest Group of the University Telemedicine Network (RUTE), an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), with support from Finep and Abrahue, coordinated by the National Education and Research Network (RNP). The project integrates researchers and professionals in education, interprofessional work, and research in the areas of habilitation and rehabilitation of people with disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2018, the group has addressed different annual themes. In 2026, the activities will take place in partnership with the Coordination of Specialized Care in the Health of People with Disabilities of the Ministry of Health. The meetings are synchronous, via web conference, with free access for professionals and students from all over Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n
