Last Thursday (23), the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) held the inaugural class of continuing education training with Primary Health Care professionals from Maca\u00edba. The meeting was attended by 46 professionals, including doctors, nurses and the Multiprofessional Team (eMulti) of the Family Health Strategies in the municipality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The activity, which will be carried out throughout the year, aims to identify and reshape the micro-processes of work within primary care teams, seeking to achieve better indicators and improve the quality of healthcare services for the population.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ISD professionals will lead the training sessions, which in 2026 will address the themes of Prenatal and Postpartum Care, Child Development Care, and Care for People with Disabilities, through preventive care for Diabetes and Hypertension. For the first time in 2026, the initiative includes eMulti professionals, bringing the perspective of different health professionals to the discussions.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Samantha Maranh\u00e3o, a multidisciplinary preceptor, neuropsychologist, and coordinator of health education at ISD, continuing education is a strategy that strengthens the comprehensive care of pregnant women, children, and people with disabilities throughout the Maca\u00edba health territory. "We understand that matrix support, the reorganization of work processes, and assistance in monitoring primary health care indicators can transform the reality of local health," she states.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the participants in the inaugural class was primary healthcare physician Rog\u00e9rio Veloso. According to him, the training is valuable for broadening the perspectives of healthcare professionals and for gaining a better understanding of the global challenges associated with healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe way we are structured today still needs improvement. That's why it's important to have a benchmark for our work and to have meetings, preferably scientific ones, so that the micro level has an idea of how the macro level works,\u201d says Rog\u00e9rio.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
