The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) has launched a call for applications for its Master's program in Neuroengineering. Applications are free, open until June 22nd, and must be submitted via an online form accessible through the published announcement. <\/span>on the ISD website<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

For the selection <\/span>From the 2026.2 class, 13 places will be available. <\/span>Five positions are open to all applicants; two are reserved for graduates of the ISD's Multiprofessional Residency Program in Healthcare for People with Disabilities (RESPCD\/ISD); three are reserved for Black, mixed-race, Indigenous, and Quilombola individuals; and three are reserved for people with disabilities. <\/span><\/p>\n

Individuals with degrees in exact sciences, biological sciences, and health sciences are eligible to participate in the selection process. Applications outside these scope will be rejected. During registration, one of the ongoing research projects at the institution, described in Annex II, must be considered; these projects cover areas such as Memory and Cognition, Electrical Stimulation, Brain-Machine Interfaces, and Neurorehabilitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection process consists of document evaluation stages.<\/span>The final submission includes a letter of intent, letters of recommendation, a Lattes curriculum vitae, and academic transcripts. Candidates who pass this phase proceed to the interview stage, which is both eliminatory and classificatory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Created in 2013, the Master's program in Neuroengineering at ISD is the first and only one in the country recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in this area of knowledge. Its objective is to train highly qualified professionals with interdisciplinary skills and the ability to develop scientific research and technological solutions in Neuroengineering.<\/span><\/h5>\n

The program is free, lasts 24 months, and is part of CAPES' Interdisciplinary evaluation area. Classes are held at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) in Maca\u00edba, approximately 25 kilometers from Natal. All students have access to free daily transportation provided by ISD between Natal and Maca\u00edba.<\/span><\/p>\n
