By: Ariane Mondo \u2013 Ascom ISD<\/em><\/p>\n Carolina Damasio<\/strong>, infectious disease specialist and medical preceptor at Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS\/ISD)<\/strong>, was one of the speakers at the first event TEDx<\/strong> held in Rio Grande do Norte, on April 8th, at Potiguar University (UnP)<\/strong>, in Natal (RN).<\/p>\n The doctor spoke about \u201cArt of Birth<\/strong>\u201d, an award-winning project that works with interventions in the maternal and child area, through playful activities involving art and integrating care actions for pregnant women using CEPS, in Maca\u00edba (RN). Carolina's conference was recorded by the event organizers and the video will soon be made available in full on ISD's social media.<\/p>\n \u201cArte de Nascer\u201d is a project by Institutional Program for Education and Interprofessional Work in Maternal and Child Health (PISD3)<\/strong> of Santos Dumont Institute (ISD)<\/strong>, Social Organization that maintains a Management Contract with the Ministry of Education (MEC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n O TED<\/strong> is a North American non-governmental organization that holds conferences bringing together thinkers and doers with the aim of promoting ideas that deserve to be shared. TEDx is a standalone conference, licensed by TED, focusing on local challenges and skills. TEDx UnP brought the theme \u201cHere for Good\u201d and presented conferences that addressed the impact of new ideas and attitudes of people who are transforming their surroundings, through an educational and sustainable stance.<\/p>\n Also participating in the TEDx UnP conferences were:\u00a0Claudio Medeiros<\/strong>, attorney; Fl\u00e1vio Rezende<\/strong>, journalist; Francisco Irochima<\/strong>, doctor; Jussier Ramalho<\/strong>, entrepreneur and Mario Jambo<\/strong>, Federal judge.
