The Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS)<\/strong> counts on the Multidisciplinary Autism Spectrum Care Service (SEMEA)<\/strong>, a reference in the care of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children in the region of Maca\u00edba-RN.<\/p>\n Among the SEMEA actions dedicated to this special month is the interview with the CEPS neuropediatrician, Celina Reis<\/strong>, granted to the Good Morning RN Newspaper<\/strong>, from the broadcaster Inter TV Cabugi<\/strong> (Rede Globo affiliate in Rio Grande do Norte). In it, Reis commented that ASD is a neurological development disorder that usually develops in the first years of a person's life. The main signs of the onset of the disorder are changes in social interaction, language and behavior. The earlier the diagnosis is made and treatment is started, the better the chances of the condition evolving.
