In addition to promoting science education workshops for 1,400 Elementary School II students in their three units \u2013 Natal-RN, Maca\u00edba-RN and Serrinha-BA \u2013 the CECs have signed cooperation agreements with several education departments in the municipalities of RN, with the aim of holding continuing education meetings with educators and managers of the public education network.<\/p>\n<p>O <strong>CEC Manager Training Program<\/strong> is one of the highlights in this area. Initiated with managers of the municipal education network of Natal-RN in August 2016, the project aims to develop systematic meetings of training actions with administrators of the schools that are partners of the Centers, leading them to build an integrated action plan for the training of their teachers and the attendance of students at the CECs.<\/p>\n<p>On April 11th, the project began work on its second group, the first in Maca\u00edba-RN. The inaugural meeting of this group took place at <strong>Paulo Freire Auditorium<\/strong>, at the <strong>Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS)<\/strong>, another ISD unit. Professionals from the municipal and state education networks of the host city and of S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 de Mipibu, Bom Jesus, Parnamirim and Senador Georgino Avelino were present. The activities were led by <strong>Rachel Dantas, pedagogical advisor for the CECs<\/strong>, It is<strong> Guilherme Lopes, coordinator of the Management Training Program<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the first meeting of the Maca\u00edba management group, participants discussed the reality of their schools, reflected on the democratic conception of education and jointly approved the annual calendar of activities. In the next meetings, which will take place every two weeks, content such as theoretical foundations of education, school management, evaluation process, group theory, among others, will be covered.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the ongoing training of school managers, CECs also develop the <strong>Continuing Education Program for Educators<\/strong>. This action includes monthly meetings with the pedagogical coordination of the CECs in which content is worked on: teaching methodology of various subjects, didactics, Brazilian educational reality, educational theories, scientific education, pedagogical practices, reality of public schools and exchange of experiences among educators.
