O Instituto Santos Dumont (ISD) prorrogou até 20 de maio medidas para prevenção ao novo coronavirus que estariam em vigor na Organização até esta terça-feira, dia 05. As medidas são adotadas desde meados de março e já haviam sido prorrogadas duas vezes, em 8 e 23 de abril.
Com a decisão, continuam valendo o esquema especial de trabalho da Organização, com plantão ou home office para equipes, além de aulas e atividades em grupo das clínicas apenas online. Atendimentos presenciais seguem somente para obstetrícia e pediatria de alto risco – e vítimas de violência sexual em Macaíba, cidade-sede do Instituto.
O novo prazo, anunciado pela Comissão Especial para a Pandemia Covid-19 do ISD, está em linha com o decreto que o governo do estado publicou nesta terça-feira (05), igualmente ampliando o período de quarentena até o dia 20.
The objective, according to the Commission, is to avoid crowds and the flow of people to reduce the risks of infection and spread of the virus.
The justification is also based on guidelines from the Ministry of Health and international evidence that isolation is the most effective prevention measure in this context.
As the pandemic situation evolves, however, new definitions may be adopted and published at any time.
Work
The special work schedule at the Institute includes a home office for administrative and academic functions, and a shift schedule for operational activities.
The activities continue online for the master's degree in neuroengineering and the Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for People with Disabilities.
Para a população, linhas telefônicas com plantão 24 horas para assistência materno-infantil – pediátrica e obstetrícia – além de atendimento via WhatsApp para esses e outros pacientes do Centro de Educação e Pesquisa em Saúde Anita Garibaldi foram ativados.
Patients at rehabilitation clinics continue to receive support by phone, WhatsApp, and through materials such as videos, folders and booklets that Anita's teams are producing.
The patient service lines are for answering questions, renewing medication, prescribing medication and providing psychological support.
