O Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences, from the Santos Dumont Institute (IIN-ELS/ISD), publishes the list of approved candidates in the 2021.1 selection process, for the 15th class of Master's in Neuroengineering.
The course is the first and only one in Brazil recommended by Capes in this area of knowledge – and lasts up to two years.
In the 2021.1 selection, 45 candidates from different states and areas of activity applied. Thirteen of these were approved.
Check out the video prepared by the veterans of the Postgraduate Program below, with the names of those approved at the end. (Erratum: Master's student Cláudio Mendes, who is among those approved in the selection, has Unifavip as his home institution and not UFPE as incorrectly stated in the video).
VACANCIES FILLED
The number of vacancies filled in the selection process was higher than originally expected – 10 – which is in accordance with the rule of the notice according to which the selection committee has the right to approve more or fewer students, depending on the result of the technical evaluation of the candidates and suitability of the research projects.
Among those approved in the selection process are students from Rio Grande do Norte, but also from other states such as Paraíba, Pernambuco, Pará, São Paulo, Paraná and Espírito Santo. For the professor and coordinator of the program, Fabrício Brasil, the attraction of students from most regions of Brazil is a result of the growing visibility of ISD's postgraduate program.
“This movement of interest from students from various states has been happening for some time in our selections. This means that we have done a good job of publicizing the program in recent years, and have increasingly participated in events, conferences, seminars and activities that make us better known. Many of the students also said in interviews that they had received recommendations from teachers, so I am sure that this exchange will be very good,” he said.
Among the 13 approved, three are graduates of another ISD postgraduate program: the Multiprofessional Residency in Healthcare for People with Disabilities, which works in an integrated manner with the Master's in Neuroengineering.
