The Santos Dumont Institute launches public notice with 4 vacancies for professor-researcher in the Neuroscience field; apply now

The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) has published last friday, february 25, a public notice with four opportunities for researcher positions to join the multidisciplinary team of Neuroscience and Health of the institution. The applications are open until march 13th, and the documents should be sent to the email address: selecao@isd.org.br.


The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is a private non-profit Social Organization attached to the Brazilian Ministry of Education. The Institute is located in Macaíba, a city 25 km away from the capital of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, a city known for its touristic sights and urban beaches. ISD relies on an interdisciplinary approach, and offers a multidisciplinary residency program for rehabilitation of people with disabilities as well as a graduate program in Neuroengineering. ISD promotes education for life through science as a social development tool.


The institution seeks four enthusiastic, engaged and motivated researchers who are dynamic and flexible to work in different fields of Neuroscience, Neuroengineering, Data Science and Health Sciences. The selected professionals will work with graduate, undergraduate and High School students to transform the way research, studies and applied sciences are evolving. 


The job positions are for researchers to work with non-human primates; Humans; Applied Data Science and Health Sciences. To apply, a letter of intent should be sent to the designated email address, along with a copy of the candidate’s Curriculum vitae and three confidential letters of recommendation. The candidates should have a PhD degree related to Neuroscience, Health Sciences or Data Sciences (according to the job position).


The vacancies are full-time, 40 hours a week, from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5 pm. The salary is commensurate with assistant professors in Brazil, plus benefits (health insurance, dental insurance, meal voucher, food voucher and a charter bus that makes the journey from Natal to Macaíba and then back to Natal everyday).

The Institution has the first Master's program in Neuroengineering recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education, along with the first Multiprofessional Residency in the Health Care of Persons with Disabilities. These programs work together in order to develop integrated solutions that will have a direct impact on the care and life quality of the population, combining health care, multidisciplinary work and scientific research.
