This event aims to promote an integrative debate on the physiological neural mechanisms and internal states that give rise to cognitive functions. By integrating knowledge from various perspectives in neuroscience, we aim to foster a holistic understanding of brain function. The International Meeting on Neural Mechanisms of Cognitive Function will feature lectures by renowned researchers from diverse backgrounds and different countries, ensuring representation of gender, cultural, and academic diversity. Topics will include the circuits and cellular bases of cognitive functions, computational models, and brain oscillations. This meeting is expected to foster the creation of collaborative networks between the academic community in the Northeast of Brazil and other regions of the country and abroad, as well as to stimulate joint projects that will impact the country’s scientific and technological production.
