lilian lisbon, Coordinator of the ISD Multiprofessional Residency Committee, explains that the training of residents at CEPS will be mediated by tutors and preceptors from different professions: “During training, the members of our Residency will be encouraged to renew their knowledge, attitudes and skills to better meet the demands of the realities in which they are inserted”, says Lílian.

The Director of Teaching and Research at ISD, Reginaldo Freitas Junior, states that the Institute's Multiprofessional Residency is based on interprofessional education and work: “thinking about health training to respond to the demands of the 21st century leads us to discuss the reorganization of this training in which students or professionals from two or more courses, or professional centers, learn about others, with others and among themselves, collaborating towards the ultimate goal of improving health care through teamwork”, adds Reginaldo.

The Coordinator of the ISD Multiprofessional Residency also emphasizes that interprofessional education strategies for the development of Multiprofessional Health Residencies (RMS) can be considered important alternatives in the training scenario for strengthening the Unified Health System (SUS).
