The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) resumed negotiations this Wednesday (10) to renew the management contract with the Ministry of Education (MEC), through which the federal government has financed and monitored the Institute's activities since 2014.
ISD and MEC are negotiating the renewal of the contract for at least another 10 years. The current contract between the parties runs until December 2021.
O ISD Master Plan, with projects planned for the next 10 years, the strategic objectives outlined for the period and the Institute's budget proposal are among the points being analyzed by the Ministry's team.
The video conference that had the subject on the agenda was attended by the MEC Program Director, João Carlos Barreto, the area manager, Jaqueline Ribeiro Silva, and the Project Coordinator Vinícius de Aquino.
RESULTS
The meeting lasted more than 1 hour and included the presentation of the Institute's results in 2020.
The ISD has 13 quality indicators involving areas such as education, scientific production and management with goals set out in the contract with the Ministry. (Click here to see all the indicators and targets detailed in the ISD 2020 Annual Report).
In 2020, the Institute exceeded most of these goals, despite the challenges brought about by factors such as the pandemic. The performance was praised at the meeting.
“It’s a level of achievement that makes us very satisfied,” said Barreto.
From ISD, the video conference will be attended by the general director, Reginaldo Freitas Júnior, the administrative director Jovan Gadioli dos Santos, the manager of the Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Research in Health, Lilian Lisboa, and, remotely, the Planning Advisor, Eduardo Frare. Discussions on the renewal of the contract between ISD and MEC continue.
