This event aims to promote an integrative debate on the physiological neural mechanisms and internal states that give rise to cognitive functions. By integrating knowledge from diverse perspectives in neuroscience, we seek to foster a holistic understanding of brain function. The International Meeting on Neural Mechanisms of Cognitive Function will feature lectures by renowned researchers from various fields and countries, ensuring representation of gender, cultural, and academic diversity.
The topics will include the cellular circuits and bases of cognitive functions, computational models, and brain oscillations. This meeting is expected to foster the creation of collaborative networks between the academic community of Northeast Brazil and other regions of the country and abroad, as well as stimulate joint projects that impact the country's scientific and technological production.
