The Graduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG) is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and functions as an international cooperation initiative, attracting foreigners to Brazil and encouraging the exchange of knowledge between partner countries, while also benefiting Brazilian institutions through the contact of Brazilian students and faculty with qualified researchers working abroad.

To this end, the program offers places in the master's and full doctorate programs and sandwich doctorate programs in Brazil, with benefits that include monthly fees, health insurance assistance and travel between Brazil and abroad.

Santos Dumont Institute is one of the participating institutions, offering 10 master's degree places for foreign postgraduate students, with enrollment scheduled for 2026. The places are for the master's degree in the institution's Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering (PPGN).
