The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) presented, last Monday, September 11, the biannual report of its actions to the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee of the Management Contract of the Ministry of Education (CAACG/MEC). In the report, available to society on the ISD website, the main activities carried out by the institution are listed throughout the first six months of 2023.
Every six months, the Institute's actions are evaluated by a technical committee, made up of six members chosen by the MEC who work in areas related to those of the ISD. The evaluation takes place based on three main programs: Research and Postgraduate Studies in Neuroengineering, Interprofessional Education in Health and Organizational Development, Management and Operations, subdivided into 13 indicators.
“Since management assessment takes place through active monitoring of results, as well as by verifying compliance with goals and achievement of objectives established in the Management Contract, the monitoring carried out every six months by CAACG is an important moment to correct directions or prevent the occurrence of events that compromise the achievement of the objectives, indicators and targets agreed with the MEC.”, explains the Administrative Director of ISD, Jovan Gadioli.
Among the indicators, there are topics such as the use of graduates from the Master's in Neuroengineering; scientific publications made by the institution's faculty and students; the scope of continuing health education actions; hours occupied by residents and undergraduates at the institution; leveraging resources and controlling administrative costs, among others. With the exception of two indicators, which were incorporated in 2023 and are not yet included in the evaluation, all goals agreed between the ISD and the MEC are expected to be achieved by 2023.
