Nineteen athletes-users of the Paralympic Reference Center of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) will take action next Saturday (28) during the Loterias Caixa 2025 Paralympic Meeting, in Natal. They will participate in the Paralympic boccia and athletics events, with free entry for the public.
The bocce competitions will take place at the DED Gymnasium, in the Lagoa Nova neighborhood, while the athletics events will be held on the athletics track at the central campus of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). The competitions are scheduled to start at 8 am.
The event brings together athletes of different age groups and functional classes, promoting the development of parasports and encouraging sports practice as a tool for inclusion. The participation of ISD users is the result of the work developed at the institution's Paralympic Reference Center, which offers multidisciplinary monitoring and regular training focused on high performance and rehabilitation through sports.
The Paralympic Meeting is an initiative of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) that travels to several capitals in the country, contributing to the emergence of new talents and strengthening the national competitive calendar.
