Canal Saúde makes a special report on the Barriguda Project

The program “Health Channel on the road” produced a special report on the Barriguda Project, developed since 2015 by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) in Capoeiras, the largest quilombola community in Rio Grande do Norte, located in Macaíba. The project, developed by the multidisciplinary team of Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS), includes prenatal care and health education actions through an agreement with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). The Canal Saúde article is a result of the Laboratory in Innovation on Social Participation in Women's Comprehensive Health Care received by the Barriguda project in 2017, during the 2nd National Women's Health Conference, held in Brasília (DF) – Check out the article about the award HERE. In 2018, Barriguda was also awarded, this time in Ireland, in the international competition “Projects that Work” promoted by Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (Faimer) – article about the award HERE.
