On Wednesday 20/05/2015, we received at the Alfredo J. Monteverde School – Macaíba Unit, the distinguished visit of Wandilma Maria de Oliveira, Secretary of Education of the Municipality of Parnamirim/RN, accompanied by Verônica Lígia Batista, representative of the Union of Public Service Workers of Parnamirim/RN (SINTSERP).

On the occasion, the Secretary and the Union representative visited the workshops and the physical space of our school and met with our Advisor Rachel Dantas, the Teaching Training Assistant Pablo Buriti, the Pedagogical Coordinator of the Macaíba Unit Cristina Oliveira and the Pedagogical Assistant Elaine Campelo.

At this meeting, Secretary Wandilma Oliveira praised our work and highlighted the importance of our project for education. She also proposed a cooperation between the Department of Education of Parnamirim/RN and the Santos Dumont Institute, in which the main points highlighted would be: the commitment to the continued training of educators in schools in the municipality of Parnamirim and school transportation for students who attend our unit in Macaíba.
