O Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS) received two important visits in recent days: a group from Nursing Department from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and another of Ana Bezerra University Hospital (HUAB/UFRN), located in the municipality of Santa Cruz (RN), approximately 122 kilometers from Natal.
Nilba Lima, professor at the Nursing Department at UFRN, was accompanied by the master's students Samara Maia It is Ana Beatriz Vitorino, both linked to this department. The Coordinator of Health Education Activities at CEPS, lilian lisbon, showed the CEPS facilities in Macaíba (RN), on April 14, and Nilba said she was delighted with the projects developed in this unit of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD). The professor explained that the primary objective of the visit is to establish partnerships in CEPS research and extension projects, in the area of women's and children's health.
Still during the CEPS presentation, Reginaldo Freitas Junior, director of teaching and research at ISD, drew attention to the challenge that the education of health professionals faces in promoting integration between knowledge production, work and training so that these professionals are able to work at different levels of health care , with social responsibility and commitment to defending the integral health of human beings. In this sense, Reginaldo highlighted the great importance that nursing assumes in partnerships for work and interprofessional health education.
On April 18th, CEPS received students, coordinators and preceptors from Integrated Multidisciplinary Residency in Maternal and Child Health from HUAB/UFRN. During this visit, residents from the areas of physiotherapy, psychology, nursing and social work were able to see the service where they will carry out activities in the second half of 2016. Since 2015 there has been a partnership between UFRN and CEPS, which allows internships to HUAB/UFRN residency students.
