Newspaper cover story The State of Sao Paulo, edition of January 13, 2019, presents preliminary data from a study that investigates the strategy used in shots by athletes on the adult basketball club team Santo André/ABAPA, in a study in the area of Neuroscience and Cognition. The former athlete of the club, Luciane Moscaleski, used eye tracking, which tracks gaze movement through special glasses, to support studies conducted by USP School of Physical Education and Sports (EEFE-USP), the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), besides the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), with the support of the company Brain Support.
According to the article, “the data obtained in the initial protocol is under analysis, but the preliminary results already point to a sporting gain.”
