ISD Board of Directors presents biannual report to the institution's Board of Directors

Posted in August 22, 2024

The board of directors of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), a social organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC), presented, on the morning of this Wednesday (21), the semi-annual report on the execution of the management contract to the institution's Board of Directors. The document includes the performance indicators and targets that will be analyzed by the MEC Management Contract Monitoring and Evaluation Committee.

Of the 13 indicators in force, the Institute shows a tendency to achieve the annual target in 12 of them. One indicator is in the data collection phase and, therefore, could not be evaluated at this time. Among the items evaluated are the success rate of the master's program in neuroengineering, the occupancy of the facilities by external researchers and the practices of continuing education in health.

Monitoring of ISD actions is carried out every six months and consists of assessing the progress of activities in relation to the institution's expected results, previously agreed upon with the MEC. The aim of the six-monthly assessment is to correct course or prevent situations that could compromise the achievement of annual goals.

The half-yearly report was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors, which also approved, without reservations, the Institute's financial and management reports, also referring to the first six months of 2024.

The presentation was led by the CEO, Reginaldo Freitas Júnior, and the Administrative Director, Jovan Gadioli. The directors emphasized the importance of the work developed by ISD in research, teaching and extension. “Once again, I am pleased to present to the Board of Directors figures that reinforce the commitment of the entire ISD team in pursuing the exercise of our social mandate, which is to transform lives through education. We remain confident that, after the discussions we had with the Board, we will achieve the goals set for the year,” highlighted Reginaldo Freitas Júnior.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Theodoro Paraschiva, congratulated ISD on the partial results obtained. “I reiterate my congratulations to ISD for the achievements made in this first half of the year. These are results that make us happy and reinforce the importance of the Institute’s work for society.”
